Belt dryers can be divided into three types depending on the combination, namely single-stage, multi-stage and multi-layer belt dryers.
This series is a multi-layer belt dryer. It consists of a number of single-stage belt dryers from top to bottom belt dryers connected in series in a sealed drying chamber with a height of up to 15 layers, usually 3 to 5 layers. The transport speed of the latter layer or layers is lower, so that the material layer is thickened, so that most of the drying medium flows through the first few thinner layers of material to improve the overall drying efficiency.
The partition between the layers promotes the directional flow of the drying medium to make the material dry evenly. The multi-layer belt dryer consists of an insulated cabinet, a conveyor chain belt, a chain tensioning device, a moisture exhaust system, a transmission device, an anti-stick steering conveyor belt, and an indirect heating device. The lower layer of the conveyor belt generally extends 2-3 m from the exit of the box, leaving room for workers to separate the deformation and imperfect products in the drying process.
Multi-layer dryers are often used where drying speed requirements are low, drying times are long, and process operating conditions are maintained constant throughout the drying process. A partition is provided between the layers to organize the directional flow of the drying medium to make the material dry evenly.
The multi-layer belt dryer has a small footprint and a simple structure, and is widely used in dry grain materials. However, due to the multiple loading and unloading during operation, it is not suitable for drying easy-to-adhere conveyor belts and materials that are not allowed to be broken.
